I'm Rahil Kouser — and honestly, painting found me before I found it. As a kid, I was always the one doodling in the margins, drawn to colour and form without quite knowing why. I had the instinct, but not yet the confidence to call myself an artist.
Then came 2020. The world paused, and I finally had nowhere to be — so I picked up a brush. What started as something to fill the silence of lockdown quickly turned into something I couldn't put down.
It still fascinates me — how an empty canvas, a few tubes of paint, and a quiet afternoon can become a seascape, a Paris street at dusk, or a personalised painting someone will keep for a lifetime.
